I don't know why this surprises me. Maybe its because the last few things I've made have been through patterns with specific instructions, I'd forgotten the magic of beading from the heart.
I did plan this monogram for the back. I wanted it to somewhat resemble her face, so I did a band of the peyote stitch and am filling it with two shades of size 15 in greenish/pinkish/goldish hues.
I got up to stretch and take a break. Came back to Rainy making himself comfortable on the only semi-available spot! EEEEEK!
Sunday brought gray skies (again) and rain. What? Rain! In January??!! Not fair! Ah well, good excuse to stay in and bead (like I need an excuse!).
Luckily, I didn't have a million beads out on my mat, so he didn't jumble everything together. In fact, he got up so carefully, I would have never know he was there had I not seen it! Hmmm, I wonder how often he sleeps there when I'm at work?
Saturday was just beautiful here in Western New York. Another opportunity to take a walk in the woods. While I was exploring a grove of pines (you can see the grove in the left of this picture), Pete crossed an open field to get a picture of this tree. I love the shape of it and how the sky changes color (and I didn't enhance or change it digitally)

lynn, i really love how she is coming together. your choice of colors is beautiful. i can't wait to see her finished. the only thing is, i tried to click on the pics for a larger but it didn't go to a close-up. i wish i could see more closely your wonderful "from the heart" details. i know it will be mostly covered in the end, but i also really like the fabric. for me at least, starting with a beautiful fabric is key to the beginning of creativity...your choice is fantastic.
Lol Lynn! The cat picture is priceless! Now if it was one of the dogs, you would have trouble. I remember once I was working on a tapestry with a million colors (ok slight exaggeration) anyway, Maddux wanted to go potty and I had taught him to give me a kiss when he wanted to go out. I was beading away, didn't pay attention to him and he tried to jump up and kiss me, hit the underside of my try and beads flew everywhere!! never made that mistake again. Love how Grace is coming along. I love her colors and monogram.
LYNN!!! Oh my goodness, she's beautiful! Your 'beading from the heart' is shaping up so nicely.
The cat on your table is priceless and I love the shot of the tree, just gorgeous!
She is lovely and her colors are yummy! I adore the monogram on her back too! There is magic in beading from the heart! ;-)
Rainy is so CUTE! I bet he is there a lot when you are at work!
Gorgeous day and I love the lone tree picture against that beauiful blue sky!!!
